Certification

CPCS Trained Operator Card (Red)
CPCS Competent Operator Card (if S/NVQ has been completed & HS&E OP’s test passed) (Blue)
NPORS CSCS affiliated Card (Red)
NPORS Traditional Card
Advance Training Certificate

Refresher Period

Dependent on certificate/card route chosen, call for further information

Recommended Progression

S/NVQ is required to progress CPCS & NPORS Trained Operator (Red) Cards to the Competent Operator (Blue) Cards. Call for further information.

Course Aims

By the end of the course the operator should be able to:

  • Compact on inclines
  • Site and operate machine safely in response to given tasks
  • Recognise defects and hazards that affect road roller motions
  • Demonstrate an understanding of responsibilities under relevant legislation
  • Demonstrate an understanding of compaction, frequency and amplitude
  • Operate machine safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturers’ manual and instructions and accepted good practice
