This is an assessment course for experienced candidates.
Inexperienced candidates should seek formal training prior to attending this assessment course
Operative units 1-7 & 9
Supervisor units 1, 10-16

Operatives & Supervisors can attend the same course however a minimum of 2 Op's are required for supervisors to carry out assessments effectivley

Course Aims

To assess competency and improve knowledge on the New Roads and Streetworks Act for Operatives or Supervisor

Course Summary

Location and avoidance of underground apparatus
Signing, lighting and guarding
Excavation in the highway
Reinstatement and compaction of backfill materials
Reinstatement of sub-base and road base in non-bituminous materials
Reinstatement of cold and hot lay bituminous materials
Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways
