McDonalds Made Us Nostalgic – Our History at Advance Training Scotland
McDonalds’ “As Featured In Meals’ advert got us thinking here at Advance Training Scotland about what our journey has looked like. We went from simply Advance Construction to now offering construction industry training courses for not only our own staff, but external companies as well.
Advance Training was set up in 2016 – originally intended to serve our own workforce and background staff. We wanted to give them all the training that they needed to excel and grow. However, it very quickly became clear that with the first-rate facilities that we have, we could support the wider workforce.
The McDonalds advert used films like Richie Rich (1994), to Friends (“The One with the Bullies”) and the more recent Loki television series. They’ve stayed in our minds throughout all this time, updating their menu and catering to a wide audience.
And so have we!
In 2020 our offices here at Advance Training Scotland underwent a refurbishment project. This gave us more room to deliver our expert training to our wide audience.
Our workforce has grown with us and as such Advance have been investing in training across the company. Site-based employees commit to a CITB approved annual training programme, and behind-the-scenes staff have focused their training on excellence in customer care and business development skills.
So, as we remember how much McDonalds has grown in their time, reviving memories and emotions tied into these films, we also remember that here at Advance Training Scotland we have also had our own happy memories – helping the workforce achieve the certification they need to excel.
